As I did report quite long time ago, the Chinese manufacturer was going to release Xiaomi Mi4A, but in the end, the phone had anther nick name, so-called Xiaomi Mi 4I. The fact is Mi 4A or Mi 4I has any thing in common and both of them are totally different from the predecessor, Mi 4, which used to create a stir on the market. Now, we are on to what is special in this Xiaomi Mi 4A.
Xiaomi Mi 4A is slightly different from Mi 4 when it comes to its own appearance.

First comes with desgin
At the first glance, those phones Mi 4 and Mi 4A look quite the same, but if compared more specically, there are many discrepancies between them. To be clear, gone are the aluminium frame and glossy plastic back cover of the Mi 4, with Xiaomi favoring a matte polycarbonate design instead for the Mi 4A.
Going around the device, the power button and volume rocker are found on the right side, both within easy reach, and offering a good tactile feedback.
In the front, below the display are the three capacitive buttons, and above the display is the 5 MP front-facing camera and a notification LED to the right of it.
However, in general, Xiaomi Mi4A is not as gorgous as the former one. Basically because Mi 4 is designed with the glass back, as well as the metal edge round the phone, which makes it all brighter and richer as well.
The display maybe the most spectacular feature of Xiaomi Mi 4A, I would say 🙂 Even with significant differences in other key areas, the Xiaomi Mi 4A retains the display of its more powerful sibling, featuring a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080p resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 441 ppi.
Generally speaking, this display proves to be excellent, and certainly goes beyond what the price point of this device would suggest. Color reproduction is accurate, color temperatures are neutral, and viewing angles are fantastic.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi 4A packs a second generation 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, clocked at 1.7 GHz, and backed by the Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.
Performance is as smooth as expected, but understandably not as fast as what you’d get with far more expensive flagships. The device handles gaming very well, and multi-tasking is also a breeze. The MIUI 6 OS is quite memory-intensive though, leaving users with just over 1 GB of memory on boot.
By way of illustration, we will show you the gaming video that will make you satisfied with that.
Here are some pictures illustrating the power of Xiaomi Mi4A:
In this test, it can be seen that Mi 4A is a bit weaker than the others.
The phone scored roughly 38.000 points in Benchmark scale, which is acceptable in the low-cost segment currently.
13MP rear camera
The Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a 13 MP rear camera with a dual LED flash, and 5 MP front-facing unit, and the device takes some great photos, especially when considering its price point.
Images appear to be sharp and crisp, and even more so when using Xiaomi’s advanced HDR mode. On top of that, the camera theme is also simple and easy to manipulate.
Here are some pictures captured by Xiaomi Mi 4A:
The pictures above are vivid and absolutely persuasive.
If compared to other Xiaomi phones like Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro, xiaomi 3s, xiaomi mi4a, xiaomi mi5, xiaomi mi max, to mention just a few, Xiaomi Mi 4A really does a decent job in the segment that it is headed. At present, the phone is priced at $200 more or less, and I am sure that it has been a potential rival against other stuff in the same segment, which is the purpose of Xiaomi when they have intention of ruling each segment in the market with just one representative.
